Our meal delivery service is the cornerstone of Newcastle Meals on Wheels our own in-house meals freshly made to order in Tighes Hill.
Our dedicated team of volunteers delivers meals directly to clients' homes and other individuals who may have difficulty preparing food for themselves, offering not only sustenance but also a friendly visit and a wellness check. This personal touch helps combat loneliness and ensures that any health concerns are promptly addressed.
We offer a variety of meal options, including special dietary accommodations such as

Our Services for Home Care Package Providers
Meal Delivery and Wellbeing Checks
Our committed team of local volunteers and staff provides meal deliveries up to three times a week. Newcastle Meals on Wheels offers more than just a meal delivery service; we also conduct a wellbeing check with each visit. During these checks, our friendly volunteers have a chat with you to ensure you’re doing well. If there are any signs of concern, we promptly refer these to your Home Care Package provider and your next of kin. This helps us monitor your health and wellbeing, allowing you to continue living comfortably in your own home.
On average, once a month, the Newcastle Meals on Wheels team of staff and volunteers saves a life during our wellbeing checks. They often act as first responders to older Australians who have fallen in their homes, showcasing the crucial role our wellbeing checks play in the community.
Additionally, we take feedback from our clients to continually improve our offerings and maintain high standards of quality. Our menus are regularly updated to provide variety and to incorporate seasonal ingredients.
