Newcastle Meals On Wheels

Fresh, Delicious, Nutritious - and  Affordable - Meals

At Newcastle Meals on Wheels, we believe good food should be affordable and accessible.

Whether you receive government support or not, you can enjoy fresh, dietitian-designed and chef-crafted meals delivered to your door, with free delivery for clients and no lock-in contracts.

With us, clients only pay for the meals they choose. Nothing more.

How Much Do Meals Cost?

The amount you pay depends on whether you receive Australian Government funding.

If you receive support through a government program, such as Aged Care or NDIS, it usually covers most of the cost of your meals. You simply pay a contribution.

We are a not-for-profit organisation, which means your contribution goes directly toward providing fresh, nutritious meals for older people - never into hidden profit.

And delivery is always free for clients. Here’s a quick guide:

Government-Subsidised Meals for Older Australians

You may be funded under:

  • Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
  • Home Care Package (HCP)
  • Support at Home (SaH)
  • NDIS (for eligible participants) In most cases, your funding covers the majority of your meal costs.
